A BEAUTIFUL GIFT.
ORCHIDS FOR THE OITY The City Engineer last night advised the City Council that Mr. F. Shaw, of 29a, Vermont Street, had offered his valuable collection of orchids as a free gift to the Council. The Engineer recommended that the offer be received, and suggested that he be given authority to make room for the gift orchids in the hot-houses of the DomainThe Council accepted the offer, with best thanks to the donor for his valuable gift
