THE PREMIER'S PROMISE.
" "The Board of Trade hove made exhaustive investigations before arriving at their, conclusions, and have advanced substantial reasons for the adoption of the" course of action outlined in their report. It should also be borne in mind that the Prime Minister (the 'Bight Hon. W. F. ; M_sey) stated in Parliament last session that when the price of butter reached 1/7 per lb he would see that no exports -were allowed that meant a further advance in the price of butter to the local consumers. There is very excellent reason to believe that the policy thus enunciated by the Prime Minister will now be carried out by Cabinet.
