AURORA RELIEF EXPEDITION.
ARRIVAL OF CAPTAIN DAVIS. ; • (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) .-: day. Captain J. K. Davis reached Dunedin last night by train froni the Bluff, at ■which port he arrived-yesterday in the Paloona from Melbourne. A telegram from Wellington last week stated that Captain Davis will command the Aurora, at present lying at Port Chalmers, on jher voyage to the relief of-the Ross i; Sea party. Captain Davis was met by 'Mr. 'J. J. Kinsey, of Christchurch, who 'is' associated with Mr. John Mill, of ■• Port Chalmers, as a Xew Zealand committee of advice. Mr. Kinsey stated that it is not Captain Davis' intention at present to make a statement of any • kind respecting the position to which lie has been appointed.
