FOOTBALL.
ASSOCIATION. The annual smoke concert of Everton Football Club, though supported chiefly by juniors, owing to most of the seniors having enlisted, was carried through successfully at The Tiffin on Saturday night. There was a large attendance of members and guests, Mr. J. Carmichael being in the chair, and a characteristic j toast list was presented and duly honoured. During the evening the" clubs second division members were congratulated by the A.F.A. secretary on having won the championship in their division, and a word of commendation was given also to the Mount Albert team, the ninnere-up. The views of the boys at tlie front on football matters were presented by a number of returned soldiers, back in time to take part in their old club's reunion. An excellent musical programme was presented, chief of the contributors being Messrs. Kncenan H Conway, C. Conway, Meeks, Morgan and Scott.
