JT.C. —Are you not prejudging the case? The man has not been tried yet. PUZZLED.—The president ought not to •have left the chair until the deferred notice of motion had been dealt with. If, however, he did so without protest from any member present, that would legally end the quarterly meeting, the notice of motion being then in the position of lapsed or unfinished .business. If the rules of the organisation provide for unfinished business the motion might come up at the next meeting under that head. If there is no such " provision, it would be necessary to (bring the matter forward by fresh • notice of motion.
