RECRUITING IN COUNTRY.
: ATTESTING CEXTR-3 ESTABLISHED. Arrangements bave been made by Captain J. G. Bust, officer commanding the Auckland No. 1 group, for the establishment of attesting centres at Pukekohe and Otahuhu. so that men enlisting from these districts may be sworn in without coming to the city recruiting station. Recruiting days arc to be fixed' for once a month, when Lieutenant Makgill. of the 3rd (Auckland) Mounted Rifles, who has been appointed attesting officer, accompanied by a doctor and a dentist, will be in attendance. On at testing recruits will be given one day.* pay (five shillings) and expenses of Teaching the station, according to tbe scale laid down by the Department.
