The ~Rov. J. H. McKenrie has resigned from Nelson Presbyterian Church, of which he has been minister for the past 25 years.

An old resident of Auckland, Mrs. Ann Rosser, died at her residence. Haslett Street, Eden Terrace, yesterday, at-the ripe age of 8.4 years. Her husband died about a couple of months ago. Deceased was an aunt of Mr. Arthur Rosser.

Commissioner H. C. Hodder, of tho Salvation Army, arrived by the express from Palmerston North, and to-day visited the institution at Rotoroa Island. To-morrow the Commissioner speaks at the barracks, Albert Street, Newmarket, and Kdcn.
