AMBASSADOR REPORTED TO CARRY REQUEST.
ASKING ALLIES ON BEHALF OF GERMANY TO STOP THE WAR.

NEW YORK, October 6.
The "New York Evening Post" deedares that it has learned authoritatively that Ambassador Gerard is en route from Berlin, to America bringing the Kaiser's request that President Wilson, on Germany's behalf, should aek the Allies to stop the war. Peace possibilities continue to be convassed in Washington.
