PRICE OF BUTTER.
HROTEST AGAINST FURTHER RISE. Mr. J. S. Dickson, MP. for Parnell, ha 3 forwarded the following telegram to the Hon. Mr. Mac Donald, Minister of Agriculture, Wellington:— "Most emphatically protest against the increase in the already high price of butter. High-cost of living is being felt severely by people with large families. Every home must have butter as a necessity. The substitutes sold in England are not obtainable here. Suggest that the Government requisition from every butter factory in the Dominion the pro-, portion required to cut consumption at prices not exceeding those ruling at present."
