ROAD BOARD MEETINGS.

TABfAKX WEST. j The ordinary meeting of the Tamaki West Road Board was held yesterday. Present: > Messrs. E. B. Pilkington (chairman), John : Clack, Geo. Gower, and F. R; Hutchinson. Lady Bay Track. —As the result of a com- . plaint that the track was a-source of dan- ' ger, and should be closed, Mr. Hutchinson j reported that there was a strong feeling that the track be kept open. The foreman ' reported that it was- not more dangerous I than it had ever been, but required, repairL ing. He suggested clearing away the slips ' and repairing the hand-rail, also re-tarring ' the-track as soon as practicable. He wasinstructed to give an estimate of the cost : to put the track round the foot of the cliff In order. Main Bead - Work.—The foreman reported that the work on the main road had 'been completed as far as the supply eC shingle went, and the shingle was setting very satisfactorily. He Intended to keep the grader going to keep the road in shape until _ the .whole of the shingle had set. I Lease of Board Section.—A draft copy of : a lease between the Board and the Presby- } teriau Church Committee was agreed upon. ■ with email alterations. The lease is for [ three years at an annual rental of £6 10/ per acre. ■ — Outstanding Bates.—lt was resorted that all water supplies where the rates are over- - due be disconnected without further notice.
