A Russian communique states: Our fire drove back dense columns of Germans attempting to advance beyond their entanglements eastward of Noro Alexandrovak, south of Dnnsk. We frustrated midnight attacks on the Krasnik-Ostashin sector, north of Pripet. Stubborn fighting continues on the Zaturcz-Yolasadovskai Shelvou sector, west of Lutzk, where we captured some positions against strong resistance. Stubborn battles continue in the Zlota Lipa. Our fire stopped a counterattack on the River Ceniuvka,;a tributary of the Zlota Lipa! The enemy brought up reserves, which suffered severely. Fierce fighting ie still proceeding. The prisoners taten in this region on Monday number a thousand, while the total in three battles here since September 30 ie over five thousand, oi which six hundred are Germans. < ~
