A smile was raised at the Suj-_eme Court this morning when a waiting juror asked to be relieved of his duties on the ground that he was hard of 'bearing and suffered from rheumatism. TTip Honor •remarked that be ought to apply to be permanently struck off the list, to which the juror replied that he had been off I for a number of years, and did not know he had been put on again. "What ago are you 2" aijked his Honor. "Sixtytwo," was the reply. "Why, you ought not to be on the list at all," exclaimed the Judge, •'you are a disqualified juror because of your age." The juror did not wait for a second telling, hut hurried out, well pleased for once, apparently, that though he had not reached the alloted span of three score and ten, be had at least got well past the three score, and incidentally his liability to serve on the jury. Mr. Robert r>__re_l received a cable from his son, Robert, dated Southampton, stating, "Much improved."
