GERMAN STORY OF THE FIGHTING.
ATTEMPTS TO RECAPTURE GINCHY CONTINUE. (Received 12.15 p.m.) LONDON, September 11. A German communique says:—"We repulsed English attacks at Pozieres, Lesars. High Wood and the Ginchy-Comblcs sector. Fighting for the possession of Ginchy continues. We lost advanced trencires near Longucval and Lcuze Wood. French attacks at Belloy-en-Santerre and Vcrdaadovillers failed. We recaptured a few nouses at Berny-en-Santerrc."
