PRICE OF FLOUR.
INCREASING IX THE SOUTH. (By Telegraph - Own Correspondent.) DUNEDIN, this day. Our Dunedin correspondent wires that flour is going to be dearer. The price has already been put up by one firm from £12 to £12 10/ p,-- r ton, and it is said to be likely that other millers will in a few days ask for an advanced figure. There is no collusion in the trade: every imiller has his own rates, and the public have the advantage of the competition. Tbe company that now puts up the price led the way in pulling it down a little while ago. The cause of the upward tendency is the scarcity c¥ wheat in the market. Velvet is in short supply, and holders are to-day wanting 5/0 per bushel for it These Tuscan wheats are ouotcd at about 4/11.
