(Before Mr F. V. Frazer, S.M.) DBUNK—BTNESS. Two first offenders forfeited bail, and one who agreed to the issue of a prohibi tion order was prohibited and discharged. Alexander Campbell (HI), who was run in on Thursday night, got bail and turned up in court yesterday again under the influence, agreed to be prohibited and he was consequently prohibited and fined 10/. Patrick McChrystal (36) and Thomas McWilliams (52), two other second offenders, who; declined to try the antidote of a prohibi-1 tion order, were each fined 10/. Joseph McHugh (SC) for getting drunk! when prohibited and committing a nuisance, was fined £3. in default fourteen days. GETTING HIM DOWN. Edward Joseph Bosworth (39), who had treated his prohibition order with all sorts of contumely, from the disrespect of going into hotels and drinking pints of beer, even unto getting drunk last night, admitted that the drink habit had a half-nelson on him, and he wished to call on Rotoroa Island and the Salvation Army to break the grip. Bosworth's list showed that he had been nine times convicted this year for drunkenness offences, indicating that he was getting the worst of the wrestle ■with beer.
