A large attendance of memuers took part In the proceeding., which were ot an iusplriug nature, showing that Increased interest is being taken in the affairs ot the club. There Is naturally not enough spate fur two riubs. so In the face of these circmn-tanreK i:»- et-b h:i.< decided to acquire a lrcehoid and lay down their own courts. A move has already beca mailp, Mr. and Mr.-. Caniplicll' bavlnc handed over to the club their orchard: this has been cleared of all trees, and with the flrst tine day the seed will he sown, so given detent weather the ln-wns will be ready for play early in November. This new site commands a very line view of the harbour, Is well protected from the prevailing wind. f-o the club trill be very comfortable in their new home: The new ruh-s which were adopted on 10th June, were finally confirmed aud ordered to be printed. These ruws are very concise and right up to date. au:i -will help the conimitloe iv the mauapreuicut of the club aud control of the play. Eight new members were elected, which brings the clnb's total membership up to _fi active members. The election of officers resulted as follows:—President. .Mr. G. F. Campbell: vice-presidents. Mosdamos Mc_nßH and White; hon. secretary. Jlr. It. S. Lawrence: hon. treasurer. Miss Morison: soncral committee. Mcsdatncs Blake. Masters and Keys; match committee. Mesdames Campbell. Masters and Keys: lion, auditor, Mr. .1. W. Can-; jrrpen superintendent, Mr. G. F. Campbell. The action of the trustees of mc reserve came up during discussion, and as Hie outcome a resolution war; carried. Tn which the c!r>, decl'ie-l te withdraw their patronage from their lawns. A beany vote of thanks and confidence was passed to Mr. and Mrs. Caniplicll for their untirinand unselfish support of the club. Votes of thanks to the Pre** and lo the donors of prizes closed an enthusiastic meeting
