HOTELKEEPERS CONVICTED., I
I At the Magistrate's Court this morn,mg before Mr. Cα Kettle, S.M., J. M. MoUoy, licensee of the Victoria Hotel, All ,f» nd charged with having com! mitted a breach of the Hotel Employees' ant without haraig fi re t applied to the secretary of the Hotel Workers' Uniot The breach was admitted, and a fine of £1 was inflicted. J SnUivan, licensee of the Thistle Hotel, Queen Street, admitted having failed to eih.bit proper time-tablee relating to the hours worked by a pantry maid, a housemaid-waitress, and a waitress. It was stated that the timetabels had been lost or destroyed. The defendant was fined £2, the Magistrate remarking that the caee was simply one of slackness. J. C.
