About 3 o'clock this morning a Maori •woman, who gave the name of Louie Graham, was found sleeping in a hut at the Auckland railway station yards, which was used by the porters and others for cooking food, etc. She stated that she had no friends here, and just went into the hut, as she wanted somewhere to sleep. She was handed over to a policeman, and when she came before Mr. F. V. Frazcr, S.M.. to-da.y she stated that ehe came from Whangiwnata, some distance beyond Thames. She had been in town about a weok, rlio said, and had charge of a baby, but she would not state where she had left the baby. She was remanded until to-morrow to enable further inquiries to be made.
