AMERICAN HEAT WAVE.
SEVERAL DEATHS REPORTED. OFAimLE PABAXTSIS PREVALENT. (Received 11.30 a.m.) \ NEW YORK, July 14. \A great beat wave is passing over the eastern States. In New York eight deaths have: occurred, and five are reported at Bost'pn. Many Ipcople have been prostrated. Great trowds are camping on beaches. Sharkfe are abundant at the watering placesj and four bathers at various places have been devoured. . It is stated tkt the death rat* from infantile paralysis is one hourly. --
