A SERIOUS CHARGE.

TAUMARUNUI, ttiis day
A man named Jim Clark, who has been frequently mentioned in connection with the Kakii-hi tragedy, -was charged this morning before Messrs. A. S. Laird and K. W. Simmons, Justices of the Peace. with a serious offence against a boy named Kelly 011 the night of 2Sth April, at ICakahi. Hr Strang, solicitor, was retained by accused. Sergeant Miller conducted the prosecution. The father and mother of the boy, Dr. Mac Knight and Constable Adieson gave evidence. Accused was committed for trial at tf.a Hamilton Supreme Court, and »ySe allowed bail in two sureties of X2sC>«ad eelfia £250, -.
