IN LONDON.
THE TRICOLOUR EVERYWHERE (Received 12.5 p.m.) LOXDOX, July 14. The warmth of Britain's affection for France is demonstrated everywhere. In the streets, men, women, and children are to be seen wearing miniature tricolours. Mr. Asquith. with his wife, and many distinguished persons, including ambassadors, . attended a requiem mass for French soldiers at Westminster Cathedral. It was a striking; scene in the great church. The massed bands of ~ the Household Brigade played "The Marseillase." Men of the Irish Guarls. with fixed bayonets, stood with noived heads in the sanctuary guarding a catafalque draped with French flags. The "Dead .March" was played, an-d the "Last Post" sounded at the close of the service.
