ENEMY HOPES TO RESTRICT ALLIED OFFENSIVE
DRIVING A WEDGE TOWARDS SOUVILLE. [Auttrelltn and N.Z. CiDle Aitoolttien.] LONDON, July 13. A French official message states that six regiments debouched from Fleury and Chapitre Wood, and were launched in a violent assault on Souville. The recrudescence of activity on the Verdun front shows that the Germans intend to maintain their activity in the hope of restricting the Anglo-French effeneive. The latest operations aim at driving a wedge into Souville Fort.
