Overshadowing Trees.—The enginner reported that the trouble which iitiu arisen betwepu ths Council and the orcliardisu; at Henderson in connection with overhanging trees had been amicably settled. The committee appointed had conferred wltb those concerned, who had agreed to comply with the following conditions, the Council being content to accept them as sufficient compliance with their previous notice to remove the trees. • Conditions.—(l) No part of any tree or hedge snail overhang any road. CA Oldestablished trees in some parts of the district be reduced to a height of 40 feet above the ground, while in other parts the trees should be reduced according to their present height. REMOTE DISTRICTS. A resolution was passed declaring the Deep Creek and Murray's Bay districts remote districts, thus enabling pjans and specifications for the subdivision of various estates In these districts to be approved of. DEPUTATION. Mr. Southey Baker, of Woodville, Maraetai, waited on the Council in connection with the detrimental effect of sifting sand In parts of the Kalpara river.
