The return from the Waihi mine lor the period ended July 1 was ■ £26,801, the'result of the treatment of 15,510 tons, of ore. This bring 3 the total out- ' put to date up to £11,278,475. 'The following "cablegram was for- ' warded-to the London office: —"Number 12 Level—fThe Dreadnought lode has • been, driven on westward from Xo. 4 shaft north-west crosscut, a distance of 31ft. and is now in sSft. Its value for that distance is 10/ per ton, and its average width is 3ft. Number 11 Level. —The drive on the Edward lode south from Sprat crosscut has been extended Sift., from 655 ft. to 706 ft., and its valne 16-4/6 per ton. The drive on the south section of the Dreadnought lode east of Bath crosscut has been extended 31ft., ; from 442 ft. to 473 ft., and is worth £6 [ 13/9 per ton. RETURN OF £560. i During the past month the heavy ■ rains caused the cartage of ore from the ' battery to be interrupted, with the re- ■ suit that the Four-in-Hand battery, Coromandel. worked 17 days.
