HANDLING FISH.
- bin - .. INSPECTION BY DR. MoNAB. VISIT TO , OYSTER DEPOT. The Minister of Marine, the Hon. Dr. McXab, spent the greater part of this, morning on the Auckland waterfront making a personal inspection of the municipal fish market and the Government oyster depot. While Dr. McNab was at the fob market a trawler arrived, and he was able to watch the methods of handling adopted in discharging the fish and removing it from the wharves. Later on he inspected the apparatus for emoking the iisli, and saw some feh in the process of treatment. At the oyster depot Dr. McNab made a complete inspection of the stocks in hand, and inquired fully into the methods followed in handling and distribution.
