Baron Pierre de Coubertm, president of the International Olympic Games Committee, stated recently to the Associated Press that no 01[?mpic Games would be held during the present year or while the war lasted. He ako supplemented the announcement with Borne i interesting details. " Though there will j be no Olympic Games in 1916 or during. the war," said the Baron to a representative of the Xew York "World," *• preparations for the Games in 1920 are being made so far as possible. Four cities already have expressed a wish to have the Olympic Games held within their precincts, namely, Antwerp, Lyons. Amsterdam and Havana." Asked if he I thought it likely that the sportsmen oi the Entente allied countries would be ' willing to compete with the Germans and Austro-Hungariaiis in 1920, Baron de Coubertin said: "It is impossible to fay what tie state of national feeling will be four yeare hence. It is possible that Germans" and Anstriaus may not be invited to participate."
