CHARGE OF MANSIATJGHTEB AGAINST TAXI-DRIVER. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) PALMERSTON NORTH, thb day. f At the inquest or H. H. Gowdey an! his wife, victims of the Taonui crossing fatality, this morning, before Mr. Poynton, S.M., a verdict of manslaughteagainst Thos. .Stanley Madge, driver of the ear which collided with the train, , was returned. Madge was arrested, and when charged pleaded not guilty. He was committed for trial on bail of £200. The coroner found that neither the driver nor the guard of the tra- :- v> as in any way to blame.
