THE SALEYARDS AGAIN. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent) ! HAMILTON", this day. A meeting of ratepayers last night ■ decided to form a ratepayers' association for the protection of municipal in- ' terests, as it 'was considered that the : present Council "was not governing borough affairs in a proper manner, suf--1 fering from the malady of municipal , iDertia. The Health Department protested to • the Borough Council last night against . the insanitary etate iti which the saler j yards had been allowed to remain. The headmaster of the Hamilton West School also complained that ihe yards in their present condition were a eerious menace to the health of the 720 children attending the school. A 'letter was also received from the Chamber of Commerce asking when the Council intended to j epend the loan borrowed eighteen months . j ago for improving the yards. It was I decided to obtain a report from the j engineer of the cost of putting the yard 3 ') in a sanitaTy state.
