FRENCH RED CROSS FUND.
—.—. On the 17th of this month the French Red Cross Society of New Zealand forwarded by cable to the society in Paris £10,000 of tho sum collected in New Zealand for tho cause. M. Rigorcau, the French Consul, has received cable acknowledgments from the Department of Foroign Affairß and the president of the Society (the Marquis do Vogue) expressing respectively the thanks of the French Government and of the Society for the Dominion's generous gift.
