The Mayor (Mr. J. H. Gunson) announces that in connection with the proposal to appropriately celebrate "Anzac Day", the Soldiers' Club has elected a committee of six to meet the City Council on Thursday and put forward proposals for the programme. In view of the wide and general interest in the projected commemoration it has been considered that the whole Council, in conjunction with representatives of the discharged soldiers, should discuss the matter.
