LONDON WOOL SALES.
(By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright.) LONDON. March 17. The wool sales closed firm at the lower prices established. After there had been a 10 per cent drop prices recovered slightly. Present quotations ore -1W to 2d below closing rates of last sales for medium and coarser sorts. Finset grades about maintain old prices. Eight thousand bales itmve been taken for export to the Continent. Russia and America are not operating. Estimated values are as fbDoira: —Superior anertnos, 1/1 to 1/9; medium merino, 1/4 to 1/6; inferior merinos, 1/1 1/3; One crossbreds, all grades, 1/8 to 1/10: medium crossbreds, all grades, 1/6 to 1/8; anarse crossbreds, all grades, 1/4 to 1/6. Future prospects are good at these lower prices. Three donsand fire hundred bales of New Zealand iwool were held over.
