CYCLING.
An interesting point' in connection with the motor cycle record between Hobart and Launeeston has arisen. It ie stated that when the present holder, W. H. King, registered 'his 2 hrs. 33jmin. for 121 miles across Tasmania, during the ride he changed machines. Since then E. Bayles, the previous holder of the record, , negotiated the distance in 2hrs. 34min. 50sccs., riding the one machine throughout. The Tasmanian Motor Cycle Club is investigating fche matter, and in the event of King , having changed mounts during his ride, will decide whether this .is permissible in a run of this description, and in the circumstances, which of the two riders, King or Bayles, is officially entitled to the Taamanian record.
