The French Budget shows that the nation's military expenditure since the beginning of the war has been as follows:—Army, f 1,400,000,000- navy £56,000,000. France is spending daily on the war the sum of f 3,450,000. In Spite of the Geriums. The "Daily Mail's" New York correspondent says that a gathering' of 4,000 persons met in the Carnegie Hall' to advocate co-operation between America and tbe Entente Powers. Some Gannons tried to break up the meeting, but they completely failed, and many were ejected. The meeting passed a resolution, approving the Entente Powers' cause, and pledging the meeting to give it the utmost support.
