ANOTHER COAtiTAL BOA'£. LYTTBLTON COMPANY'S PTJBCHASE. New Zealand's coastal shipping is to be augmented by the addition of another Tβ* sel recently purchased in Sydney. The buyer is Mr. D. Reese, of Reese Bros., Chrietchurch. The vessel is slightly smaller than the Oponri, owned by the same firm. She is a steel boat, of 527 tone gross, the Oponri being 371 tons. Thfe new purchase has been known as.the Tay I_ but the new owners Jiave rechristened Her Orepuki. It is understood that she was obtained at a reasonable figure, and In consideration of the existing shortage of tonnage, this purchase must be regarded, as extremely lucky. She Is to be used In the timber trade between Nydia Bay nnd Lyitelton, and should a-rri-ve at the Jast-lnamed part, via Hobart, at the end of this month.
