A LOST GIRL
The police are seeking the parents of ;:;; a girl who was found wandering in the '<';'• street about eleven o'clock last night. The girl states that she is twelve of age, but she is tall for'that age, beyond that no reliable information be got from her about her people; Her J® story was that she went to a picture theatre in Queen Street with an elder sister-:'';;.£ and got separated from and lost the.' S sister, and didn't know her way home. Her home, she said, was somewhere in..:*; Ponsonby, but she could not tell th«;%s name of the street, as her parents lived there only a fortnight. Prior to;-';: that they had lived at Freeman's Bay, i«o|| Sarsfield Street, according to her story. ?•; As no inquiries had been made to tl~L%£ police by parents, the girl was brought before Mr. F. V. Frazer, SJtf., this morn- . ing, and remanded to the Door of Hopegp; until Monday, pending further informa-";., tion concerning her.
