EPSOM. »t T « e pP BO ™ Koad Board met last evening, Mr *. H. Wood presiding. A letter was received from the Newmarket Borough Council referring to the damage done to roads in and near tbe city by the use of narrowtyrcd vehicles. In the course of the letter, tbe Newmarket Council stated that it bad decided to call a meeting, when a uniform by-law could be drafted out, and It requested that the Epsom Board be repres ™ted. Mr F. H. Wood was elected to attend the meeting. Complaints of a stench from the eewer. received from Epsom residents in and about Kuufurly Uoad and Gillies Avenue resulted in an Inspection of the area being made by the Board's engineer, Mr Metcalfe, and his report was presented at the meeting last evening. He stated that the size of the shaft erected by the Auckland Drainage Board was not adequate.
