MINISTER'S TOUR.
TE AWAMUTU TO KAWHIA.
(By Telegraph. —Own Correspondent.) KAWHIA, thie d»y. The Hon. W. Fsraeer, and Mean Jennings and Young, MP-'s, left To Awainutu yesterday for Kawhia. En route deputations were introduced to the Minister, principally dealing with road construction. In the evening at Kawhia the town board and settlers met the Minuter, Mr. Langley presiding. Various request* wore made, the principal being construction of the main road from Kawhia into Oparau. Tlf'e Minister said he was not prepared to give any hope for new work at present. The farthering of construction work's on tbp Avrarba-Mahoe road to Waitomo joubi bo authorised. The party proceeded on to Marokopa to-day.
