The Hon. Dr. MeXab, Minister of Jug. tice and Marine, has come to Auckland mainly for the purpose of conferring with local bodies regarding the question as to what may be done to improve the navigation facilities of the Waikato He spent a considerable portion of yest-r----day on the upper reaches, while on Mon day and Tuesday next he will investi gate the lower reaches. The Minister will give a recruiting address at EUerer* to-night, and to-morrow Ije will visit Waihi for a similar purpose. On Friday he will attend the Ngaruawaiia regatta and after a visit to Te Aroha wiH r °' turn to Auckland, probably arrivins on Saturday night.
