COLONEL P. C. FENWICK. (By Telegraph.—Special to "Star.") WELLINGTON, this day. Colonel P. C. Fenwick was among the passengers by the Riverina from Sydney-to-day, and will leave for his home in Christchurch by the ferry steamer on •Wednesday night. Colonel Fenwick left New Zealand with the Main Expeditionary Force in October, 1914, and during the last sixteen months has been serving with the colonial troops in Egypt and at the Dardanelles. He was at the first ianding at Gallipoli, and, after three or four strenuous months on the Peninsula, returned to Cairo to fill an important hospital appointment there. The colonel expects to return to the front again in four or five weeks' time. He is in good health and spirits, and entirely optimistic about the ultimate result o£ the war, but he declines to talk for publication. MAJOR D. A. HICKEY, D.S.O. (By Telegraph.—Special to "Star.") DUNEDTN, this day. One of the latest appointments of officers of the New Zealand Stall Corps for active service is that of Major D. A. Hickey. D.5.0., at present General Staff Officer for the Ota;»o military district. It is understood that Major Hickey will be succeeded by Captain Cooper, an officer of the Imperial Army, who was brought out to the Dominion after having been invalided from the 'Western front. LIEUT. F. N. HOUSTON. Word has reached Dunedin that Lieut. •Frederick Neville Houston, of the York I and Lancaster Regiment, has been 1 awarded the Military Cross. He received i his primary education at St. Clair' School, and went Home to study for the Armj-. He is the elder son of Mr. W. J). Houston, formerly of Dunedin, now residing in Wellington.
