' A sum of £152 had .been donated to the, War Relief Association for the equipment of the hospltaf ship.' 'xue appeal made by the Auckland Provincial War Relief Association for' funds for trie wounded was promptly and enthusiastically taken up by the majority of the memuers, who rendered assistance in connection with the Queen ' Carnival. . The energy and initiative they..displayed bad been favourably commented on .by all sections of the community. ....,->•• The balance-sheet submitted showed that, notwithstanding increased trade in' some departments,, the shrinkage in others was considerable, and the expenses in the new rooms" were, as anticipated, a good deal heavier. Mr J. M. Mennle was elected president for the ensuing year.
