A;_Re!ader, Ji_ hearty vote of thanks was accorded the Rev. W. A. Sinclair for the able address delivered by him in the. - Town Hall -yesterday afternoon. On the motion of the Rev-. W. J. Williams, a hearty vote;of thanks was accorded Mr. E, J._Gatland, and the members of the orchestra, as -well as members of the combined Methodist choir, for the fine performance of the "Creation" on Saturday night. ■ DEPUTATION TO PREMIER. . .A telegram was read from the Premier, expressing bis regret that owing to pressure of public business in Wellington, ife-i had to leave Auckland for Wellington on Sunday evening, and he was unable to meet. a. deputation of the conference on . temperance matters. It was mentioned; 'that -Mr. Masaey had expressed his wiW ..lingness to;.meet -a deputation in Wellington upon receiving 24 hours' notice. It was decided by the conference that the Rev. .1.
