A CONFERENCE HELD. DECISION ON MONDAY. This morning a conference took placo at the Education Board office between iDrs. Hughes and Monk, of the Pubi-r. I Health Office, and Messrs. G. J. Garland <"nd H. Crow, ciiairman and secretary of the Education Board, relative to the question of closing tho schools in consequence of the epidemic of infantile paralysis, ~, .;.,-..... ;;. ;■' ■.„.,. The matter was discussed 'for a couple o: htrffrs, but no decision was come to. and the conference was Adjourned until Monday moruinif. It ;« understood ibut the 'Board has intimates that it is willing- to ii.ir.' (lie decision enfcireli to the Ucakh Department. If the.. Department reaonuiurids the closing of trie schools, the iioard is willing to agree. Pending further consideration of the subject, the matter has been deferred for settlement- until Monday, when a further conference will be held.
Meantime, the scaoois will be open on Monday morning a≤ usual.
