Dr. F. Dewslmry Pinfold, son of Rev. J. T. Pinfold, senior house surgeon' at the Hamilton Hospital,'has resigned his position and intends to offer himself for active service. Dr. Pinfold was in training with the Main Body, but was retained for home sen-ice wiicn the first force left the Dominion.

The Rev. John Dumbell is now the \"eteran minister of the * Methodist Church in New Zealand, being 87 years old on the twelfth of this month. Until quite recently he was teacher of the young ladies' Bible class at the Sydney Street Sunday School, Wellington.

Mr George Winstone, the newly elected vice-president of the New Zealand Methodist Conference, has, by faithful service to the Wesleyan body, fully deserved the honour. A highly-esteemed resident of Auckland for over half a century, Mr Winstone for close on 39 years was superintendent of Pitt Street Wesleyan Sunday School.

The Rev. William Slade, of Wellington, a member of the Methodist Conference, now sitting in Auckland, received information this morning that his son, the Eov. W. G. Slade, 8.A., has gained second class honoura as M.A. at a recent examination. Tho conference passed a vote of congratulation to tho Key. Slade at Its session tliis morning.
