"A" BATTERY CAMP.
A LONG "TREK." (Special to "Star.") HAMILTON, this day. After eleven days' most successful training in camp at Tauwhare, the_ A Battery arrived here last night, having trekked twelve miles from camp, with guns and baggage. The Battery spent the night in the Hamilton Artillery Barracks, and is due to arrive in Auckland by train this afternoon. During the camp mneh strenuous work was done in addition to shooting, and trek towards Morrinsville, Therq were no accidents to the men., and very few to tho horses, Last Tuesday afternoon a successful Bperts meeting was held, including tug of war, afoot and en horseback, a football match, anil other events, the officers pubBcribing the prizes, Much country was covered in tactical exercises against an Imaginary enemy on several days this tutek.
