SATURDAY'S SESSION. The conference resumed at 10 a-m., rhen.the President (Rev. A. C. Lawryj icciipied the ' chair. The daily . record vas read after.the devotional exercises, [hanks were accorded the Auckland Sunday School Union for offering mem>ers of the conference free use-of the Joard reom in Darby Street, also to the Deyonport Ferry Company for furnishng delegates living on the northern ihore free passes on the boats. The Christian Endeavour Union wrote | ;endering greetings to. the conference; arid lrging the claims of that movement upon ;he Church as a whole. The letter' was mitably acknowledged,' and the confer:nce expressed its sympathy in the work )f the. Christian Endeavour. Conference members' attention was Irawn to the fact that.to-morrow is the iniversal day of prayer of the World's Students? Federation. A letter was read from G. W. 0. coniaining a cheque for £100, of which £50 w-as for the Home Missions and £50 for the Foreign Missions. The conference passed a vote of thanks to the anonymous lonor, whom, it was stated, had frequently forwarded generous , donations, t '•' ' COMMITTEE REPORT. Rev. W. J.' Elliott, of Ashburtbn, submitted the report of Committee A. The clauses were considered seriatim, and the following matters were agreed upon by the conference:— Auckland District.—That the Waikato Maori Mission be transferred "to Auckland district; that the proposed transfer of the. Tauranga circuit to Auckland district be deferred for one year; that in view of the future working of the Pukekohe district adjacent to the Waiuku-Run-ciman road, now in the Pukekohe circuit, be remitted to the December quarterly meetings of the Pukekohe and Papakura circuits (to be reported to the Synod); that Upper Thaaiee circuit be' divided as follows: I (a) Te Aroho, circuit to include Te Aroha, Te Aroha We?t, Waiorongamai, Mana-wua, Springdale, Waihou, Eastport lload, Elstqn, arid Gordoiij with one married minister; (.b) Morrinsville circuit to include Morrinsville, Waitoa, Tahuna, Maungatapere, Tuiihci, Motumaoho, and Ngarua with one married minister. Southland District.—That Invere&rgill district be divided, question of ministers to be referred to the Home Missions' Committee. Additional Preachers.—That a probationer be appointed to reside at Remuera, and another at Taikapuna; that a Home Missionary be appointed to Wellington South, and to Oamaru; that owing to the war, Rawene and Kohukohu Home Mission stations for the present be worked as one, by a married Home Missionary; that Port Albert bo constituted a Home Mission station; that Whakatane Home Mission station be constituted a circuit, and a probationer appointed; that an unmarried Home Missionary be appointed to Denniston; that the appointment to the Waiuku circuit of a married minister he continued for another year. The Conference endorsed the recommendations in a large number of mino" matters connected with various stations.
