DRUNKENNESS.
One first offender forfeited bail and another one was fined 5/.
THROUGH THE ■WINDOW.
"He was drunk in Queen Street yesterday afternoon, and had a quarrel with a man who, in endeavouring to get rid of him, was unfortunate enough to throw him through a plate glass window at John Court's, the damage done amounting to £25," explained the sub-inspector when James Cameron (39), who had his head bandaged, appeared on a charge of drunkenness. As Cameron was not yet fully recovered from the effects of liquor and of the smash, he was remanded until Tuesday. NOT THE USUAL SORT. William Seymour Eaton (26), clad in a much-creased, soiled and spotted holland suit that was once white and immaculate, admitted that he had been found at half-past ten last night sleeping at the back of the private premises of Marigan Milivich, a place where he had no right to be. Sub-Inspector Mcllveney stated that Eaton, a fine, strapping young fellow, apparently ot some breeding, had not very long ago arrived in Auckland from Victoria, having a passport in his possession, but since his arrival bere be had been indulging to excess in liquor and leading an aimless life. He 6eemcd to be suffering now from the effects of liquor, and a week's remand for medical treatment was requested. The remand was granted, MISGEI_LrTCOUS. Haalmar F. Larson (33), for obscenely exposing his person in Vietor'a Quadrant, was sentenced to fourteen k daye' hard l*bo*ar.
