'; The .figures brought up to date on ..jßeceniber 31 showed that since the pre■twus week 127 fit men had been added to the number available for service. .This, however, included 20 added on ■ Friday of last week, when the rush which followed the holiday commenced. . Since January 1 no fewer than 250 men Save offered their services. Of these 152 have been accepted. 1!) rejected, and 85 deferred. P.ccruitiag in the district covered by C the No. 4 (Hamilton) group is reported . to have been brisker stace the holidays, but the position on Thursday -was that 48 men were required to make up the district's quota for the Twelfth Reinforcements. The Wellington Patriotic Committee las drawn up a plan for a week's recruiting campaign. The services of qualified speakers are being secured, and Lord Derby has been asked to *-end a cable message of encouragement to assist the movement. The" campaign T ivill be commenced next week.
