ROLL OF HONOUR UNVEILED.

ASSISTANT MASTERS' DINNER. The tenth annual dinner of the Assistant .Masters' Association was held in the •Masonic Hall, Upper- Queen Street, on Saturday night, when a large number of members and visitors were present, Mr. If. W. Hare presiding. The visitors included Mr. G. J. Garland, chairman of the Board of Education,, Mr. G. W. Garrard, acting-chief inspector, Mr. H. G. Cousins, president of the N.Z.E.1., Mr, H. A. .Milnes. principal of the Training College, Inspector Priestley, Mr. J. I. Kalaugher. supervisor of manual training, aud Messrs. T. V. Welle, C. Bl'.Mjuro. and F. Murphy, members of the Headmasteis' Association. The hon. members present were Inspector G. H. Plnmmer and Messrs. Brown. Bow-den. Campbell. Patersou, Crawford', Wilson, MelTiness and Andrew. During the eveniua a roil of honour, bearing the names of sixteen enlisted members, was unveiled, and feeling reference was made ■to the death of a late" member, Mr. T. H. Kirk, lost on the 'Marqnette. iSonie diveraion was caused through an invasion of the room toy a party of ladies with collecting boxes.

A .most enjoyable programme was ren•dered by the following gentlemen:—iM«ssr«. Brough. E. Lewis, I-. Hare, G. Warren. A. Ford. It. Buttle. W. Manning, R. Hutton, and A. Hintz, Messrs. G. J. Allen and A. Walton acting at" accompanists. The toasts of "The Kiiijr," "Board of Education," "Inspectorate." "N.Z.E.1.." "Headmasters' Association," and "The Performers'' were suitably honoured.
