GRAMMAR SCHOOL STEEPLECHASE. The annual steeplechase in connection with the (irammar School sports «v held last week over the usual cour»c at One-tree Hill, a distance of three-and aquarter milca. The programme for the Labour Day sports, the whole net proceeds from which are to be donated to the Patriotic Funds, has been issued. No less than 25 events have been arranged, including professional and amateur running, eyelinjr, girls' physical drill, girls' basket ball, firemen competitions, dnnong. secondary and primary school events, and the baby show. The. events will l>o run under the rules of the Amateur Athletic Association and the Northern Athletic Union, nominations closing on October 0 and acceptances a week later.
