Monday, The inquest on the human remains found at Purakanui on Saturday was held at Port Chalmers this afternoon. Tlie body couid not be but evidence "gi\cn led to the belief that the remains were those of Alfred Arthur Austin an assistant- rhemiat. -who disappeaxed on May 16. 1I»U. Austin waa a. married man. living in fcouth Duacdin. and the last boen of bim «tl» at Port Chalmers onr Saturday evening. The coroner returned a verdict tnat the remains were those of Alfred Austin, and that he died tome time in 1914.
